The Views and The Cape of Good Hope!!! Cape Peninsula Tour Continued - Africa day 3.... 10/30/2018

After our stop at Table Mountain, we continued our Cape Peninsula Tour, and the views were just gorgeous! Our guide, Michael talked about the various towns we drove through and we made a few stops to take pictures. This beach is in one of the more popular resort towns.  We jumped out to take a few photos, right before it started to rain!  It was perfect timing!

We jumped back in the van and off we went and the rain came down.  But lucky for us, we were driving away from the storm and into the sun!  As we drove down the Cape, the sun came out and the skies were so blue!  The views were spectacular!

Our next stop was the Cape of Good Hope!

Baboons are one of the species of animals found on the peninsula. They have special protection there, and while they should only be eating fruits, insects, roots, and other naturally found food, unfortunately they have been known to find people food to be tasty!  And people have been known to feed them. Because of this, they have become used to people, but they are also dangerous animals. This has caused a problem in that people want their pictures taken with them, not realizing that they are dangerous, wild animals attracted by food. This guy here was sitting on a parked car, happy to pose for us, from a safe distance as we were driving by!

After the pictures and visit down here, we went up to the lighthouse at Cape Point.

From the base here, there was a short funicular ride up to the lighthouse and viewing area.  Again, there were some beautiful views of Cape Point!

We all really enjoyed this stop and were looking forward to what would be next on our tour!
