A Perfect Day at CocoCay! July 26, 2019

We were all looking forward to today! A beach day, the new Perfect Day at CocoCay, and all that the island has to offer! It was a beautiful day!

Alex and I went to the island first, as soon as we could get off the ship. He had a scuba excursion booked. He was looking forward to this the whole cruise! We thought this would be a good place to scuba since doing it here he could hang out with us the rest of the day, where if he did it on any of our other stops he would have to split up from us for the whole day.

Alex met his scuba group and they got suited up, received their instructions and walked down to the water.

Once they got out to the water, they went out to the dive spot, one by one, pulled by jet ski. It was interesting! But it worked!

The beach was really nice, and I spent my time there while Alex was on his dive.

Keith and Megan showed up right about the time that he finished

We went to the waterpark next. This part of the island is an extra fee, and we had decided we were going to check it out.  Alex and Megan went to get in line for the tall slide. It was still early, not even 10:30 yet. Keith and I went to the wave pool to wait for them.

After talking to some people who had come down the slide we had a good idea of how long they would be in line. So we checked back every once in awhile, and we did end up getting  to see them come down. They waited for over an hour and a half for that slide!

After spending some time at the water park, and having lunch, we walked around the island a bit and then went back to the beach for the rest of the day.

We had a great day at CocoCay! It was almost perfect...except for the long wait and crowds in the waterpark. We expected it to be crowded, but given that they charge for entry that should limit the number of people which should limit crowds and length of time in lines. We got there early and the lines were still long. It's not really a complaint, but maybe it's something that could be done better.  We were glad we got the waterpark tickets this time though, just so we could check it out. But next time, we'll skip that area and enjoy the parts of the island that are free.

When we got back to the ship it was that dreaded time, time to pack. I can't believe tomorrow our cruise would already be over!
