Trips, Pics, and Tales

After our incredible day in Roatan, hanging out with sloths, and monkeys, tasting chocolate and rum, and then spending a few hours at the beach, it was time to make our way back to the ship. Since we wanted to spend most of our time at the beach in the water, the kids, Keith and I didn't really eat lunch, although my parents did.  We just got a little snack while we were there.  Once we got back on board, we made a quick stop at the Boardwalk where Alex and Megan got some "dogs" at the Dog House.  Keith went to El Loco Fresh for a quesadilla and I decided I would wait for dinner to eat.  Both of those are included dining options and great for those in between times when you want some sort of snack type meal. Alex and Keith especially took advantage of both places throughout the cruise! Don't mind Alex stuffing his face - that was done especially for the camera. I'm pretty sure his goal was to see just how much he could stuff in his mouth at one ...

Today is our first port day, Roatan!  We were all looking forward to our stop here, as we'd all been here once before, on our very first cruise we all took together! Having been here before, we didn't want to do the same thing, but we did also all want to stick together for the day as well. Alex, being a birder, wanted to try to see some birds in their natural habitat, Megan wanted to see the sloths, and the rest of us didn't have too much of a preference, other than to have a good time, and hopefully get to the beach! We started the day with breakfast at, you guessed it - the Solarium Bistro! And we all met when we were docked to disembark.  Pictures of Roatan as we were coming in to dock We booked a private tour for the day and once we got off the ship, we met our driver who took us to our van.   We had a "guide" and a driver all day.  We talked about what we wanted to see and do and came up with a plan, and started off for our day.  ...
